Did some reading on the new Dura-Ace electronic shifting.
I have to say that it looks really nice. The pieces are "Robocop" looking. Reading Cyclingnews' review I wonder what they meant by saying the bike will feel lighter with the newly designed and lighter shifters.... I doubt I will ever be able to sense a weight reduction of 155 grams... C'mon folks, we are talking Stones when you talk about weight... at least in my case.
One other point is that the brakes will not be battery powered. Smart decision and that leads me to wonder how reliable this new grouppo will be. I know they did all the testing and lots of folks have ridden on them on big races, BUT if people like you and me were to get our hands on one of those puppies - ride on it for 2-3 years, would they hold up?
