Culver City, Calif.  – Rock Racing is set to rock Greenville, S.C., as an official sponsor of the prestigious Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Professional Championships on Aug. 30-31. As part of Rock Racing’s commitment to the sport of cycling, Team Owner Michael Ball said it is important to him to support the event that crowns American champions in the time trial and road race disciplines. “It makes sense for Rock Racing to be a big part of one of the most significant weekends in U.S. cycling,” Ball said. “Not only are we bringing a stellar team and looking to win, but we also want to make sure fans have a great experience.” As part of the team’s sponsorship, Rock Racing will present the “Greenville Rocks” public concert and athlete/VIP reception on Saturday, Aug. 30. The evening will feature a free outdoor concert for fans at the picturesque Peace Center outdoor amphitheatre (the DowBrands Amphitheatre) from 6-10 PM with a performance by South Carolina-based band, StoneEcho. Rock Racing will also help present a one-hour highlight show airing on the Versus Network on Sunday, Sept. 7. The broadcast will showcase the action with special views straight from the “Rock Cam.” Headlined by three-time U.S. national road champion "Fast Freddie" Rodriguez, Rock Racing will field a talented roster for the weekend’s road race championship. Joining him to compete for the coveted stars-and-stripes jersey will be Tyler Hamilton, Michael Creed, Kayle Leogrande, Rudy Napolitano, Adam Switters and Jeremiah Wiscovich. Hamilton, Creed and teammate Sergio Hernandez are also scheduled to compete in Saturday's individual time trial championship. In addition to the two national championship races, the Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Professional Championships includes a full schedule of recreational activities over the Labor Day weekend. Fans will also get a chance to get their hands on the latest in Rock Racing gear and apparel at the Health & Wellness Expo. The individual time trial on Saturday, Aug. 30 will be on a 20.7-mile (33.3 km) closed course within the Clemson University-International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) in Greenville.
